Minor injuries unit deals with injuries less than 5 days old, including cuts and grazes; simple broken bones; animal and human bites; stings and insect bites; splinters, sprains, strains and bruses. Removal of foreign bodies e.g. in the ear and nose. Nose bleeds, minor head injuries (not knocked out). Eye injuires, burns, simple wound infections, removal of retained tampons and condoms.
