  • Please enter your postcode:

The service is a countywide service offering assessment, diagnosis and comprehensive treatment programmes for patients of all ages who have a clinical diagnosis of an eating disorder. Treatment programmes are based on the best clinical evidence available. The service is not a ’stand alone’ service and works closely with other agencies, especially Child and Family Services, Adult Community Mental Health Teams and relevant inpatient facilities to provide a multi-discipinary approach to care.  The service consists of Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Dietetics, Nursing and Family Therapy.

Anyone who has or suspects they have an eating disorder should in the first instance see their GP. Depending upon age, the person will then be referred to either the local Child and Family Service or the Adult Mental Health Team.  At this point the person will receive a comprehensive assessment from a member of the Eating Disorders Service with a member of the Community Mental Heath Team or Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services

The service opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
