LEAPActive aims to get more people aged 11 - 16 or those who are over 50 more active more often in their own locality without having to travel miles to the nearest leisure centre or spend lots of money on equipment.
We are a team of four “Activators” who will form a point of contact for local people aged 11 – 16 and over 50, living in Cornwall, who wish to become more physically active.
Sometimes an individual will be recommended to take up a more active lifestyle by their doctor or health visitor while others may just decide that they want to have a healthier routine. Our role as “Activators” is to provide information about activities that are going on in the local area and support individuals by tailoring an activity program to meet their needs.
