Mondays to Fridays: 8.30am to 3.30pm. Outside these times, please leave a message or email if you want to contact Wendy.

Medical Welfare Officer looks after the medical/welfare of pupils in Hayle Community school, including anti bullying. Help and advice is given on any matter. If necessary, there are referrals to other services.

This is a confidential service - unless there is a good reason, information will not be passed on to anyone else. If information needs to be passed on, we will always try to discuss this with you first. Please ask for more information if you have any concerns about confidentiality.

This school operates the Green Card Scheme: This means you can be referred to a doctor or nurse at the local health centre to get health, including sexual health, advice. The green card needs to be picked up from the medical welfare officer and allows you to be signed out of school, perferably at lunchtimes. At lunchtimes the local health centre is closed to the public and therefore is a more private time for you to go.

We now have sexual health in school on Wednesdays 2-4pm with a doctor/nurse in the Crayon Centre.  During school hours appointments can be made with Mrs Francis Medical/Wlefare Officer or after school hours no appointment needed.

For all advice on contraception, pregnancy, all sexual health problems to pupils of Hayle Community School.

If you know of any changes to the details below, please contact us. Many thanks!
