Safety Tips for Girls on a night out

How many times have you been getting ready for a night out but you’ve decided to do a rain check on that little black number?

Hello, its summer and why can’t I dress as I want, and why is it acceptable for other girls to give me dirty looks as I walk down the high street? It’s bad enough having all the leering comments from drunken men, old enough to be my father!
It doesn’t take much to get noticed as a young woman which can be a good and a bad thing.

Good = It’s nice to feel confident in yourself and in your appearance.

Bad = You could easily become a target for unwanted attention. People may wrongly judge you purely on your appearance.

It’s your choice what to wear and where to go for a night out but always be aware of your surroundings and the people you meet!

In an ideal world you would never judge a book by its cover, but we all do!

Why is having a drink going to make things unsafe?

Drinking alcohol can blur your boundaries; you are more likely to do something you wouldn’t necessarily have done when sober. It’s this effect of alcohol that can lead to feeling confused, out of control and at times having a false sense of security

"I’m getting a lift home… don’t worry, he’s only had five pints!"

So you want to be safer but how do you remember it all?
